Ruling the Seas: The Role of Maritime Law and Governance
Prof. David Bosco
Indiana Council of World Affairs Distinguished Speaker Series: November 15th on Zoom
Our oceans are in crisis because of increasing ocean warming, acidification, plastic pollution, and eutrophication (leading to harmful algal blooms, dead zones, and fish kills). Our distinguished speaker, David Bosco, the Executive Associate Dean of Indiana University’s Hamilton Lugar School of International and Global Studies, will speak on the role of maritime law and governance as an essential starting point for saving our oceans. Dr. Bosco’s research centers upon the political dynamics of international organizations and international law and his most recent book explores the challenges of ocean governance and the law of the sea as well as multilateral maritime cooperation.
