About Us

Purpose

The purpose of ICWA is to foster public understanding of world conditions and U.S. foreign policy through forums, lectures, conferences and publications in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

About the Council

The Indiana Council on World Affairs is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 1955.  Activities are administered by a volunteer group in cooperation with local institutions:

-Butler University

· Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis

· Marian College, Richard G. Lugar Franciscan Center for Global Studies

· Sagamore Institute

 

Membership

Membership is open to all  students, educators, professionals, retirees, business people and anyone else interested in world affairs.

Membership Year: July 2009-June 2010

After our May program,  we will not meet until September 2009.

Membership: Individuals $35, Family $48, Full-Time Student ($10), Senior Citizen 65+ ($25). Senior Family 65+ ($38). ICWA Membership year July 2009 thru June 2010.

Membership benefits include:

· Mailings of program announcements

· Reduced price for dinner and/or presentation

· Exchanging views with speakers and members

· Members-only holiday events
